Oct. 10, 2021. I’m here to run the marathon Monday morning, but how could I not make at least one sketch! This city is an open book about the American Revolution, with plenty of storytelling (and eye-catching!) landmarks. Outside this building, the Old State House, five civilians were killed in 1770 when British soldiers responded to an unruly mob by firing their long guns. I don’t know if famous American Patriot Paul Revere, an engraver by trade, was there to witness the “Bloody Massacre,” but kudos to him for creating a great picture to help us visualize the tragic episode.
