Lynnwood Heritage Park

Hi, hi. If you are in the Seattle area, this might interest you. I’m calling it the Great(er) Seattle Sketching Tour.

It works like this: I meet a small group of registered participants at unique Seattle-area locations on Saturday mornings (Photos are from the event’s soft launch last Saturday at Lynnwood Heritage Park).

✔️ The activity starts with a talk about the history of the place (Bragging rights tidbit: @mohaiseattle director Leonard Garfield called me an “urban historian” when my work was exhibited at the museum years ago.)

✔️ Next, I do a sketching demo, sharing useful tips learned from many years drawing on the spot. (Note: That frame gadget attached to my glasses in the video is just for demo purposes! I don’t go around sketching like that. 😂 )

✔️ The last part of the activity is drawing as a group and getting to learn from each other.

If this is something you’d enjoy, the next stop on the Great(er) Seattle Sketching Tour is the Mukilteo Lighthouse Park this Saturday, Aug. 27, from 10 a.m. to noon.

Group size limited to 9 participants. 2 tickets available at half price for high school and college students!
